In my previous post, I let you in on my favorite beach spot in Amalfi. I recently attempted to have a beach day there but it was SO full, particularly of children, which is unexpected for a weekday. I’m also not interested in paying for a lounger and umbrella at a beach club.
In the picture below you can see the beach I like circled in red. Just look at how many people are in the water! As usual, the water is stunning and crystal-clear, but I’m looking for a quiet spot to swim, tan, and read my book. Definitely away from the many… many children.
Moving on to Atrani
I opted for the quick 10 minute walk over to Atrani, the next town over. There are no sidewalks so be wary of cars, scooters, and buses- it’s best to keep your AirPods out for this one. Check out these stunning views as we approach the town.
Once you get to the end of the road before the tunnel, walk through the restaurant on the right and down the stairs. Once you’re at the bottom of the stairs you can take the road up to the town or down to the beach.
Just look at how beautiful the view of the beach was on this day.
I set myself up next to the water and enjoyed a few hours here.
Here are some of my disclaimers after being to many different beaches on the AC ( Amalfi Coast):
- The sand texture is a bit ~weird~ It’s a combination of small rocks and sand which makes it coarse. There is also a good amount of dried seaweed and other random ocean debris on the beach.
- Depending on when you go it can be really clear or a little murky. This is unfortunately dependent on the wind so you never really know what you’re going to get.
- There is no shade on this beach- if you get hot you just need to keep swimming girl
Wrap The Day Up…
Once satisfied with your beach day you can walk back over to Amalfi if you need to take a bus towards Sorrento. If you are staying in the direction of Salerno then you can get the bus from the stop in Atrani!
Enjoy your beach day my loves! Hope you enjoy this suggestion and please visit my TikTok or Instagram to see some more details <3
